One city, run properly, before anything else. The pilot fleet and the first solar-powered charging sites are being built in Abuja — the same city the company is registered and based in — so the model can be proved on home ground before it travels.
Why here first
Sonik Drive Nigeria Limited is registered and based in Abuja. Launching at home means the team is on the ground with the fleet rather than managing it remotely.
Recruitment, background checks and safety training all run in Abuja first, so the driver standard is set in person before the model travels.
An electric fleet can only run where it can charge. Abuja gets the first solar-powered stations, and the fleet is sized to what they can carry.
A 30% share of the Abuja ride-hailing market by Year 2, at 12 rides per electric vehicle per day. Those are the numbers a funded pilot fleet is built to hit before the model is repeated anywhere else — targets from the business plan, not results.
Riders who register interest tell us where demand is building, and drivers who apply early are contacted as their city opens. There is nothing to pay and nothing to commit to. The three cities that follow Abuja have not been named publicly yet — they will be announced closer to launch.
