Electric, end to end.
Plenty of platforms offer a green option. Sonik Drive does not have a petrol alternative to offer instead — the fleet is electric, and the electricity is ours.
100% electric, not a percentage
There is no petrol tier. Only electric or hybrid vehicles are accepted onto the platform, so 'clean fleet' describes the whole fleet rather than a subset of it.
Charged by the sun
Sonik's charging stations are solar-powered. An electric car charged off a diesel generator has moved its emissions rather than removed them — building our own solar sites is how we avoid that.
Maintained, not run into the ground
Vehicles are on a scheduled maintenance cycle. A fleet that is looked after lasts longer, which is the least glamorous and most real form of sustainability there is.
Part of a wider off-grid story
Sonik Group's sister company builds fully off-grid, self-sustaining eco-smart housing. Solar-powered transport and solar-powered homes are the same idea applied to two different problems.
The part that matters most
Where the electricity comes from.
In a country where grid supply is unreliable and generators fill the gap, the honest question about any electric fleet is what actually charges it. Sonik's answer is solar: charging infrastructure has its own line in the funding plan, at 15% of the raise, so the sites exist before the vehicles that depend on them.
It is also why coverage grows one city at a time. Charging capacity sets the pace, not ambition.
What we are not claiming
We are not publishing a tonnes-of-CO₂-avoided figure, a carbon-neutral pledge or an offset programme. Sonik Drive has not run a single commercial ride yet, so any such number would be a projection dressed up as a result. What we can state plainly is the design of the thing: an all-electric fleet, solar charging built in, and no tailpipe emissions from any vehicle on the platform.
Once there is an operating record, we will publish measured numbers instead.
