A help centre and in-app support live inside the Sonik Drive app, so riders and drivers can raise anything from the trip itself. Until the app is published, email and WhatsApp are the way in. The team is based in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.
Driver questions
Sonik Drive launches in Abuja first, with a national footprint of four cities planned by Year 3. Apply now and we will contact you as your city opens.
You don't need one. Approved drivers are assigned a certified electric vehicle from the Sonik fleet — there is nothing to buy and no vehicle of your own to maintain.
85% of every fare goes straight to you. The remaining 15% runs the platform, the charging network and driver support. Fares settle in the app, so there is no cash to chase.
There are none in the usual sense. Electric vehicles cut running costs by around 65% versus petrol, and you charge at Sonik's own solar-powered stations rather than buying fuel.
No. Every approved driver completes our safety training programme, which covers operating and charging the vehicle, before their first ride.
A valid Nigerian driver's licence and the willingness to complete a background check and licensing review. Vehicles are certified to Federal Road Safety Corps standards before they join the fleet.
Rider questions
Through the Sonik Drive app, in three taps: set your route, choose Sonik Prime or Sonik Premium, and confirm. Drivers around you show up on the map with a live ETA, and the fare is fixed and shown before you book — no surge surprises, no haggling.
The fare settles inside the app: 85% goes straight to the driver and 15% supports the platform, so there is no cash to count out at the kerb. The exact payment methods available at launch will be announced closer to launch.
Both are fully electric and both come with a certified driver. Sonik Prime is the standard ride for everyday journeys. Sonik Premium steps up to a more comfortable vehicle with a silent-mode option — and on any trip you can choose Silent Ride or Interactive Ride, which your driver sees before they arrive.
Yes. Nobody drives on the platform until they have cleared a background check, a licensing review, and our dedicated safety training programme. Every vehicle in the fleet is certified to Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) standards before it carries a passenger.
Yes — pick your date and time when you book and the trip is held for you at the same fixed fare as an immediate ride. Your assigned driver is reminded before the pickup window, so the car is on its way without you chasing it.
